Stoke Park School Primary pupils came runners up in the Considerate Constructors Scheme Competition.

Back in June a class of twenty-six Stoke Park School Primary pupils joined Jones Building Group to decorate the hoarding boards at their Lockleaze Construction site.

The aim of the scheme is to make children aware of the dangers of playing on Construction sites as well as giving them an insight into the industry and enables contractors to engage more with their local community.

Following a site induction on the importance of Health and Safety on Construction sites by Paul Lawrence, Site Manager, the pupils set to work in our safe area to get creative.

The theme of ‘seasons’ was chosen by the pupils and, in groups, the artwork was then brought to life though a range of techniques.

The pupil’s hard work has certainly paid off as they have come runners up in the national hoarding competition.

Paul Lawrence attended a presentation with some of the pupils of Stoke Park School Primary to present the children with medals, certificates and goody bags alongside their trophy.

The boards are displayed on the hoarding outside of the pitch and are hoping to be a permanent fixture within the sports complex once completed in September 2017.
